The Captain's Prize Competitions are open to Full and Country Male Members over 18 years of age. Affiliate, Junior & Provisional Members may enter on a reserve basis. Please contact the Office if you wish to be a reserve. Players must have a Handicap Index in order to participate and you can apply individually or in a team of three.

The Competitions will be played in 3-balls, with 18 holes on Saturday 7th June and 18 holes on Sunday 8th June, play beginning on both days at 7.00am. We will have a two tee start on both days and each team will play 18 holes from the 1st on Saturday and then 18 holes from the 10th on the following day, or vice versa.

The Competitions to be played for are:

THE CAPTAIN'S PRIZE - 36 hole Handicap Stableford.
THE MEMBERS' MEDAL CHALLENGE PLATE - 36 holes Scratch Medal
THE SENIORS PLATE -36 hole Handicap Stableford for members 60 years of age and over (and who does not win the Captain's Prize)
RUNNER-UP PRIZE - Best 36 hole Handicap Stableford score by a player not winning any of the above 3 prizes.
TWO SUBSIDIARY PRIZES - The best Saturday and best Sunday stableford scores - not available to the above 4 prize winners.
TEAM COMPETITION - For the 3-ball teams. 36 hole Handicap Stableford - best aggregate score.
HANDICAPS: The Captain's Prize is a Qualifying Competition for Handicap purposes. Handicaps will not change during the event but will be adjusted after the competition is completed. For the handicap competitions, the allowance will be 95% of course handicap but playing handicaps will be limited to 28. Members with higher playing handicaps may enter but will be limited to a playing handicap of 28.

OVER 75s: Gentlemen aged 75 and over will have the option to play from the Yellow Tees and the course handicap will be adjusted to reflect the differences in Slope Rating. The individual must declare their intentions prior to play on the Saturday and the same tees must be used for both rounds.

TIE DECIDING: Ties will be decided by the best score for the last 18, last 9, last 6, last 3, or last hole. Should there still be a tie, the Captain's decision will be final.

REFRESHMENTS: On Saturday and Sunday the Captain will provide refreshments next to the 9th and 18th greens.

PRESENTATION OF PRIZES: Will be on Sunday89th June at approximately 7.00pm on the patio.
